The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday seized assets worth Rs 2,747.69 crore in the ABG Shipyard Limited case. The attached assets include Surat and Dahej shipyard located in Gujarat, agricultural land and plots, various commercial and residential premises in Gujarat and Maharashtra, ED said.
The Indian Popular Front on Thursday condemned the raids by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Directorate of Law Enforcement (ED) against its leaders and said it will “never surrender” and alleged that the agency’s claims were intended to “create an atmosphere of terror”. President Vladimir Putin has ordered a partial mobilization of some 300,000 reservists after Russia’s military suffered a series of setbacks in the raging conflict with Ukraine, saying the move was key to protecting Russia’s sovereignty as “the West seeks to weaken, divide and ultimately destroy this country.” Putin made the announcement in a televised address to the nation in which he also said that Russia would use all means at its disposal to protect its territory, warning the West that “this is not a bluff”.
